Senior Consultant, Market Intelligence - ERCOTCustomized Energy Solutions (CES) is a fast-growing and successful energy services and consulting company. The primary responsibilities for this position are to attend and participate in ERCOT stakeholder meetings and, within days of each meeting, write succinct reports, with analysis where appropriate, on important presentations, announcements, discussions, and other developments from those meetings for internal and external clients. This position will also require analysis and evaluation of emerging market design proposals. Qualified candidates for this position will be able to work independently and collaboratively and will possess strong communication and analytical skills.Position ResponsibilitiesMarket IQ service Attend and participate in stakeholder meetings and, within days of each meeting, write succinct reports, with analysis where appropriate, on important presentations, announcements, discussions, and other developments from those meetings for internal and external clients.As appropriate, tailor reporting and analysis according to clients' commercial interests (e.g., generation, transmission, load, trading) and according to financial, policy, legal, and technical perspectives and considerations.Independently identify and define issues according to clients' commercial interests.Recommend appropriate courses of action according to clients' commercial interests.Provide real-time reporting and analysis on developments with immediate and significant commercial impacts on clients.Work closely with clients and stay familiar with their interests by addressing clients' questions in a timely manner and conducting regular (monthly, quarterly) conference calls.Consulting and Market Design services Attract, engage, and support clients through reports and analysis as well as consulting projects related to existing and emerging market design(s) for ERCOT and other regions.QualificationsMinimum five (5) years energy industry experience requiredRelevant college degree required/graduate degree or advanced industry training preferredWholesale energy market knowledge/experience regarding resource and transmission planning, generation interconnection, resource adequacy, and market design requiredERCOT and related ISO/RTO knowledge/experience strongly preferredStrong writing skills requiredExperience writing under tight deadlines preferredStrong analytical/quantitative skills and experience requiredStrong verbal and public presentation skills preferredAbility to work independently and collaboratively requiredBusiness development orientation preferredLocationThis is a remote work opportunity in the Texas region.TravelPosition will require attendance at ERCOT stakeholder meetings and periodic travel to other relevant regional market-related meetings/workshops as well as industry conferences, client/potential client meetings and CES headquarters in Philadelphia.Additional InformationCustomized Energy Solutions India offers competitive compensation commensurate with experience, along with performance-based incentives aligned to individual and company results.
