Summary

The Midway houses a large and unique collection of Naval Aviation artifacts. The Curatorial Assistant supports the Curator in cataloging new acquisitions (such as newsletters, plaques, patches, medals, and uniforms, etc.). Donated items are added to a database (PastPerfect), labeled and documented with photography and/or scanning.

Qualifications: Computer literate with preference for skills with photography, scanning, and database management. Experience with Word and Excel a must. Knowledge of Past Perfect Software and Adobe Acrobat a plus. Must be able to climb ship's ladders and have an interest in naval history; minimum age 18. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Time Commitment : 3-8 hours per week or comparable monthly amount after a minimum of 20 hours training on Past Perfect.
