In trainee status, the employee shall be overseen by a qualified individual within one year of hiring.ResponsibilitiesPerform traffic enforcement, motor vehicle collision investigation, and patrol functions. Enforce federal and state commercial motor vehicle laws, conduct safety inspections, weigh trucks, and ensure proper permits.Pursue fleeing subjects, arrest suspects, use restraints, subdue resisting suspects using maneuvers, weapons, and force as required. Intervene in disputes, mediate, advise on rights and processes.Search people, vehicles, buildings, and outdoor areas to detect evidence and substances.Foster relationships with NH State Agencies, education and community groups, nonprofits, and wraparound services to enhance law enforcement effectiveness and safety outcomes.
