TheSystems&TechnologyLibrarianwillbeamemberoftheTechnology&DigitalInitiatives(TDI)teamandreporttotheAssociateDirectorforTechnology&DigitalInitiatives(ADT).TheSystems&TechnologyLibrarianadministerstheLawLibrary'ssystems,includingbothsoftwareandhardware,andwebpages,preparesreportsandassessments,andcontributestospecialtechnologyprojectstosupportinnovativeinitiativestakingplaceattheNYUSchoolofLawincollaborationwiththeTDIteam.ThepersonhiredinthispositionwillplayavitalroleinthefosteringofadynamicandsustainablefuturefortechnologywithintheLawLibrary.Duties&ResponsibilitiesSystemsAdministrationServesasprimaryadministratoroftheLawLibrarywebsiteincollaborationwithLawITandCommunicationsDepartments.Maintainsthewebsitepagesandcollaborateswithotherteammemberstoensurethatsitecontentisup-to-date.Editswebpagesofotherlibrary-relatedsystems.TechnologySupportTroubleshootsaccessandfunctionalityissuesinvolvinglibraryplatforms,onlineresources,andrelatedsystems.ServesasaliaisontotheLawSchool'sInformationTechnologyDepartmentandotherDepartments.Providestrainingandsupporttolibrarians,staff,faculty,andstudentsonlibrarytechnologies,includingtheILSanddiscoverylayer.Developsinstructionalresourcessuchasonlineguides,tutorials,andotherlearningmaterialstosupporttechnologyuseandlearning.Worksinpartnershipwithothersteammembersonsystems-related,technology-related,anddigitally-basedservicesandprojects.Collaborateswithcross-functionalteamstocurate,author,andregularlyupdatedynamicresearchguides(LibGuides),ensuringalignmentwithacademiccurriculaanduserneeds.AssessmentFulfillsinternalandexternaldatarequestsbyretrievingmetricsfromlibrarysystems(includingtheILS),inputtingdataacrossvariousplatforms,andpreparingcustomassessmentsanddocumentation.Explores,implements,andsupportsAIandmachinelearninginitiativeswithinlibrarysystemstoenhanceoveralloperationsanddigitalservices.Keepsupwithandevaluatesnewlibrarytechnologies,stayingup-to-dateontrends,technology,andresources.EvaluatesandimplementssoftwareandhardwaretoenhancetheLawLibrary'sservicesandoperations.ResearchesandimplementsnewtoolstoimprovetheLawLibrary'soperations.ProfessionalResponsibility&ServiceServicetotheLawLibrarythroughparticipationoncommittees,taskforces,workinggroupsandotherinitiativesinsupportofLawLibrary'smission,goals,andstrategicinitiatives.ClassificationThepersonhiredforthispositionwillbeclassifiedasnon-union,non-tenuretrackfaculty(ContinuingContractFaculty/AssistantLibrarianofPractice)and,afterthecompletionofaninitialcontractterm,iseligibleformulti-yearcontracts.QualificationsRequiredQualificationsGraduateddegreeinLibraryorInformationSciencefromanALA-accreditedprogramorequivalent.Highlevelofproficiencywithlibrary-relatedinformationtechnologyapplications.TechnicalQualificationsSignificantexperiencewithAlma+Primoorotherlibrarymanagementsystemsandelectronicresourcemanagementtools.Familiaritywithatleastoneprogramming/markuplanguage,suchasXML,Perl,PHP,Python,orSQL.Familiaritywithbuilding,maintaining,and/ortroubleshootingAPIs.Awarenessoftechnologytrendsinareasofresponsibility.#J-18808-Ljbffr
