The individual filling this position provides investigative services to the OPPG within the Department of Elder Affairs (Department) under the direction of the Investigator Supervisor and is responsible for thoroughly and timely investigating complaints received by the OPPG concerning Public and Professional Guardians.PAY: Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, ranging from $38,264.16 to $56,160.00, annually.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Complaint Intake. Review complaints for legal sufficiency. Identify applicable portions of Chapter 744, Florida Statutes, and administrative rule to allegations made in complaints.Investigative Plan. Provide an investigative plan within five (5) business days of receipt of the complaint detailing the issues to be investigated, witnesses to be interviewed, evidence to be collected and/or reviewed, and an estimated timeline for the investigation.Request and Gather Evidence. Submit requests for, and gather records, court filings, photographs, video recordings, and/or other relevant materials.Interview Witnesses.
