Summary

Job OverviewRegular position in the Sheriff's Office in Washington County. Pay range: $41.22 - $52.64 per hour.ResponsibilitiesRespond to calls for service.Patrol county roads, residential, and business areas.Investigate traffic accidents.Enforce traffic and criminal laws.QualificationsMust meet all of the following:Currently possess a Basic Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training “DPSST” certification or other equivalent local, state or federal certification as a Police Officer or Sheriff's Patrol Deputy.Have completed a Field Training Program.Have at least one year of full‑time equivalent (2080 hours) work experience as a Police Officer or Sheriff's Patrol Deputy, with experience not older than 12 months from application submission.Additional RequirementsPass a thorough background investigation and meet State of Oregon DPSST standards.Hold a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record per Washington County policy.Commitment to EquityWashington County is an equal‑opportunity employer.
