Summary

Duties

Provides expert foreign affairs analysis, policy development, Departmental and interagency coordination, and advisory support concerning activities of China in third countries.

Oversees the coordination and implementation process of approved U.S. policies and initiatives.

Advises EAP/China and Department leadership on significant developments, risks, and opportunities on U.S. policy interests with respect to China.

Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with Department officials and overseas posts; Federal, intelligence, law enforcement organizations; congressional staff; foreign government representatives; and international organizations.

Leads Departmental and interagency working groups addressing complex or sensitive issues within the portfolio.
