This determination does not preclude the applicant from applying to other agencies."Examples Of Duties For SuccessLateral Pay MatrixNo Experience - $79,122.461 Year - $83,869.802 Years - $88,671.163 Years - $93,364.504 Years - $98,111.855+ Years - $102,859.19Essential Duties Of A Jail Deputy:Conduct preliminary investigations, gather evidence, administer first aid, and prepare detailed reports and documentation.Escort and transport inmates within the facility and to the hospital for medical needs, ensuring safety and security at all times.Inspect facility infrastructure, including locks, doors, and security equipment, to identify and address safety concerns.Assist with court-related functions, including preparing inmates for advisal and court appearances.Participate in required training and maintain certifications, including driving, defensive tactics (PPCT), firearms, Taser, and OC.Perform additional law enforcement duties at community events and other assignments as directed.Performs other duties as required.Shift ScheduleMandatory shift rotation every 3 months12-hour shiftsDay Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PMGraveyard Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AMQualifications For SuccessTo be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:Must currently be COLORADO P.O.S.T. Certified.Jail deputy experience preferredPossess a High School Diploma or GED.Possess a valid Colorado Drivers' License.More Qualifications For SuccessIMPORTANT NOTE: The testing process includes:Completing the written exam through the National Testing Network.A minimum score of 70% is required in each section (Video, Written, and Reading).Oral Board Interview.Physical Fitness Test Battery.A detailed email will be sent to eligible candidates closer to the testing date for Oral board interviews and Physical Testing.
