Summary

Seeking a dynamic Public Services Archivist, the part-time hybrid role will manage public services operations, oversee reading room activities, and provide reference and instruction services to support research, teaching, and learning at the Tufts Archival Research Center.Key responsibilitiesOversee TARC's public services program, including reading room operations and remote reference inquiriesDesign and evaluate instruction sessions, collaborating with faculty to support curriculum-specific needsDevelop and implement outreach initiatives to promote TARC's collections and services across campusRequired qualificationsMLIS from an ALA-accredited institution or equivalent education and experienceAt least 3 years of experience in an archives or special collections environmentProficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software related to archives public servicesStrong familiarity with research processes and providing reference services in an academic settingExcellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
