Leading a small engineering team, the full-time Intelligent Automation Lead will design, build, and operate an intelligent automation and decision-support capability for a Federal client, focusing on processing high volumes of reports and integrating with existing agency systems remotely, with periodic onsite meetings in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.Key responsibilitiesDesign the solution architecture and obtain necessary platform, security, and privacy approvalsPlan and deliver the capability in quarterly increments, ensuring thorough evaluation before production deploymentLead the data and automation engineers, setting standards for code review, testing, and security complianceRequired qualificationsEight or more years of experience delivering data, workflow automation, or application solutions for Federal agencies, including three years in applied AI or document intelligenceHands-on experience in a Federal authorized environment and familiarity with agency security and authorization processesDemonstrated experience designing human-in-the-loop workflows and evaluating model outputs with documented metricsProficiency in Python, SQL, REST APIs, and experience with dashboard or reporting toolsU.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Federal Public Trust background investigation
