Summary

Public Policy ManagerMeta is looking for a Public Policy Manager to join our External Affairs team who will support executive-level decision-making on content and product-related issues. This person will work across a range of content, policy, and product areas, and will work with a wide variety of policy, communications, legal, and operational teams, to support and inform both US and global executives, and the broader policy team.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with a variety of cross-functional teams on content and product-related decisions, proactively identify and assess potential risks and opportunities, and help manage related processesCapture and synthesize feedback, and help drive clarity and understanding on complex issuesProduce and present internal communications for leadership to assist in decision-making, providing situational understanding (including risks and opportunities), options, and cross-functional viewsHelp inform policy and product development, partnering with subject-matter experts to provide a public policy perspectiveQualifications8+ years of experience in program management, public policy, policy enforcement, law, government, national security, law enforcement, media, product management, or a related disciplineBachelor's degree in Public Policy, Public Affairs, Public Administration, Law, Political Science, or a related fieldKnowledge of geo-political, security, or civic issues in the Americas, how they intersect with social media, and the possible impacts real world events will have on the safety of the communityDemonstrated experience with simplifying complex issues, and managing time-sensitive projects through to completion while balancing evolving prioritiesExperience providing decision support and advice to executivesExperience building consensus across cross-functional stakeholders and communicating policy positions to internal audiences through written briefs and presentations Experience making high-stakes decisions by evaluating trade-offs and available data, drafting clear communications for leadership, and building collaborative relationships with teams across the organizationDemonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologiesDemonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)Experience driving and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environmentExperience framing, simplifying, and briefing difficult and complex decisions to leadershipExperience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
