Summary

Duties

Liaises between ECA and regional bureaus (e.g., NEA, EUR, WHA) to ensure that thematic and area-specific diplomatic and cultural priorities are integrated into bureau programming and policy planning.

Facilitates strategic communication with domestic and international stakeholders, including foreign governments, NGOs, and academic institutions, to promote U.S. educational and cultural diplomacy efforts.

Briefs Bureau management and staff on evolving issues and current policies related to the portfolio.

Serves as an action officer for assigned thematic and/or regional educational and cultural diplomacy initiatives.

Duties assigned at the lower grade levels are of a lesser scope, complexity, and level of responsibility than those performed at the higher grade levels.
