Summary

Position Definition:Reporting to the department head, assists the department by re-shelving materials and keeping shelves in good order, making it easy for staff and patrons to find and use materials. Example of Duties:Shelve and retrieve materialsSimple filing and photocopyingShelf checking from printed listsChecking bibliographic holdings in OPACPutting together new borrower welcome packetsBasic assistance with programsWork an average of 10-12-hours per weekMinimum Qualifications: Student in good standing in high school, or a high school diploma or GED. The preferred minimum age is 16. The minimum hiring ages is 14.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :Ability to use computersAbility to stand and walk around the library to re-shelve books for long periods of time/Ability to work weekends.Hours: Up to 19.5 hrs/wk.#J-18808-Ljbffr
