Summary
Akkodis is seeking a sourcing coordinator for a contract role with a client in Oak Creek, WI.
Location: Oak Creek, WI 53154, On-site
Duration: 12-Month contract + Possible Extension
Pay Range: $25-$27 per hour on W2.The rate may be negotiable based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant considerations.
Sourcing Coordinator will support the Sourcing group in making supplier selection decisions and in managing the Nordco Supply Base. This will include interacting with external suppliers, executing business processes, and projects to improve supplier performance or internal processes. The ideal candidate will have some prior experience in a supply chain organization supporting a manufacturing environment and must feel comfortable interacting with suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Supplier Selection
• Follow up, expedite, and de-expedite open orders to align with demand.
• Execute sample purchase orders and order acknowledgements, managing dates appropriately.
• Work with Manager to identify the correct sources to quote components.
• Develop Request for Quotes and analyze responses when received from suppliers
• Interact with suppliers and internal departments to answer questions on any open orders
• Load pertinent information into ERP system based on source selection
Process and Data Management
• Lead projects to improve internal processes and follow up on issues
• Run reports and analyze data to define areas of opportunity for improvement
• Support Supply Chain team in projects to improve Delivery and Cost from the Supply Base.
• Invoice/price resolution
• Issue POs on an as-needed basis
• Load PPAPs for new part qualification
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education: Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field or 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Operations
Experience
• Minimum 1-3 years of Sourcing/Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience quoting products with suppliers
• Running reports and analyzing data
Technical Skills
• Proficient in the use of computer applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact and clearly communicate with other functional areas of the organization, management and suppliers.
Behavioral Attributes
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, and customers.
• Ability to be a self-starter and professionally react to different situations.
• Ability to identify a problem and willingness to drive a resolution.
Working Conditions: Work is primarily light duty and will be in the office. This position requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk unassisted. Requires the use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to talk and hear. Normal correctable vision is required.
Comments: Looking for candidates that can work on the computer most of the day and interact with people in the office and via Teams calls.
