Job Description

This position requires an active U.S. Secret security clearance, as well as the ability to work fully onsite in Pascagoula, MS. \n\nThe position is willing to pay between $60,000-$80-000 depending on experience and qualifications. \n\nInsight Global is seeking a Logistician to support our client. This individual will play a key role supporting the construction of DDG-51 class destroyers by managing Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Government Furnished Material (GFM), resolving Lost, Damaged, and Destroyed (LDD) material issues, and coordinating closely with shipyard personnel, vendors, and government stakeholders. The candidate will also support Aegis testing activities, Installation & Check-Out (INCO) processes, and ensure proper material disposition leading up to vessel delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for a logistics professional with Navy shipbuilding, ILS, Product Support, SUPSHIP, or DDG-51 experience looking to support critical defense programs in a highly visible onsite role.\n\nDay-to-Day:\n\t• Manage Government Furnished Material (GFM) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) inventories\n\t• Track and resolve Lost, Damaged, Destroyed (LDD) equipment issues\n\t• Coordinate with vendors, shipyard personnel, and government stakeholders to source replacement materials\n\t• Prepare LDD reports for Supervisor of Ships Gulf Coast (SUPSHIP GC)\n\t• Manage disposition of residual GFE prior to ship sail-away\n\t• Track and obtain approvals for all GFE cannibalizations\n\t• Support the Aegis Test Team (ATT) throughout testing phases\n\t• Provide logistics support during Installation and Check-Out (INCO) activities\n\t• Participate in weekly production, testing, and status meetings
