MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Lead ServiceNow Developer to serve as the technical authority for our internal enterprise ITSM environment in Herndon, VA . This is a hybrid position. This role focuses on hands-on custom development and complex enterprise system integrations to ensure seamless interoperability across MANTECH’s internal IT ecosystem. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Diagnosing and resolving platform performance bottlenecks, integration failures, and legacy code issues. Collaborating with the Product Manager and enterprise infrastructure/security teams to execute technical requirements according to ServiceNow best practices. Architecting, designing, and building secure, scalable integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems using REST, SOAP, Integration Hub, MID Servers, and custom web services. Leading complex script development using JavaScript, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Flow Designer, and Service Portal components. Providing technical guidance, code reviews, and architectural oversight to mid- and junior-level developers on the team. Maintaining system baselines and configuration management items to align with enterprise architecture standards. Recommending, and when approved, implementing process and policy improvements across the ServiceNow platform. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. 6 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, with at least 2 years in a technical lead role. Proven experience designing and implementing complex enterprise integrations using Integration Hub, Webhooks, API endpoints, and OAuth. Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, JSON/XML, and relational database concepts. ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification. Experience working across a large team to drive technical agenda and managing complex, intertwined systems and data flows. Preferred Qualifications: ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in one or more ITSM modules. Experience with automated testing tools (ATF) and DevOps pipeline integrations. Experience creating, maintaining, and communicating complex information technology documentation. Self-starter with excellent people skills to work across teams and drive change throughout an organization. Clearance Requirements: U.S. Citizen Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%. Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
