Position Details:

  • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
  • School Year: 2026–2027


Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging English Language Arts instruction aligned with curriculum standards and district expectations.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that strengthen reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills.
  • Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners and promote academic success.
  • Assess student progress and use data to inform instructional decisions.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and families to support student achievement.
  • Maintain accurate student records, grades, and progress reports.
  • Participate in professional development, team meetings, and school-wide initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Connecticut Educator Certificate with Endorsement 015 (English, Grades 4–12), or eligibility for Connecticut certification
  • Candidates actively pursuing certification through an approved Connecticut certification pathway are encouraged to apply
  • Strong communication, classroom management, and collaboration skills
  • Experience teaching English Language Arts preferred
