After Police Academy completion, Trainees become Certified Officers with a pay of $27.65 hourly ($60,387.60 annually). On the one-year anniversary, the officer is promoted to Certified Police Officer with $30.07 hourly ($65,672.88 annually) and may be eligible for shift differential and education incentives ( bachelor's 3% per degree; master's 3%
