Summary

Part-Time Library Assistant

The Springfield Free Public Library is seeking a Part-Time Library Assistant to work at the circulation desk and in the technical processing department for up to 16 hours per week. Scheduling will be based on the library's needs, but applicants should be available to work one evening per week and rotating Saturdays throughout the year. Availability to work Sunday afternoon hours, paid at time-and-a-half, is also a plus.

Good Faith Salary Range or Rate of Pay

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, excellent customer service skills, comfort using computer applications, and the physical ability to unload, package, and shelve books. The starting salary is $18.18 per hour. The position also offers paid sick time in accordance with New Jersey state law and paid vacation time based on regularly scheduled weekly hours.
