Summary

The Kirksville Fire Department is now accepting applications for full time Firefighter and Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) - Extinguish structure, vehicle, and brush fires using water hoses, pumps, and chemical extinguishers. - Search for and rescue people and animals from burining buildings, trapped vehicles, water hazards, or collapsed structures. - Identify, contain, and clean up dangerous chemical spills or gas leaks. {=html} - High school diploma or GED (transcripts required for application) - 18 years old - Valid Driver's License - Must pass physical agility test, and pre-employment drug and medical screenings, as well as background check - Additional consideration given for candidates with EMT or Firefighter I and II
