Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Civil Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee large-scale construction projects from inception to completion. This pivotal role involves managing on-site operations, coordinating teams, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in heavy civil and commercial construction, with expertise in project scheduling, blueprint interpretation, and construction management software. Your leadership will drive project success while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Responsibilities Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations. Coordinate construction schedules to ensure timely completion of milestones. Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide crews and subcontractors effectively. Manage crews by assigning tasks, supervising work quality, and fostering a collaborative team environment. Oversee safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and federal construction safety regulations; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to resolve issues promptly and ensure smooth workflow. Conduct quality control inspections to verify work meets industry standards and project requirements. Maintain detailed documentation including daily reports, safety logs, change orders, and project schedules. Lead construction drawing reviews and interpret technical documents to facilitate accurate execution of work plans. Qualifications Proven experience managing heavy civil or commercial construction projects as a superintendent or similar role. Proficiency with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Prolog, HeavyBid, or equivalent tools. Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, project management principles, and contract administration. Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards. Extensive on-site construction experience with a focus on pipeline projects or large-scale infrastructure developments preferred. Excellent communication skills for managing crews and supervising subcontractors. Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and federal construction safety standards. Knowledge of budgeting processes related to construction estimating and cost control measures. Valid management certifications or training related to construction supervision is a plus.
