Summary

Company Description

Kindling Education Partners is a high-growth franchisee of Primrose Schools®. We operate five schools across the Colorado region today and plan to expand across Colorado and Utah in the years ahead. We are building the team, systems, and enrollment function to fill every school we open and keep it full.

Role Description

We are seeking a Director of Enrollment to own the first touch with every prospective family at our current schools and turn inquiries into completed tours. This person is often the first voice a family hears from Kindling. Their job is to make that first conversation personal, informed, and warm, and to get the family into a school for a tour.

The role is measured on one outcome: growth in completed tours, delivered in partnership with School Directors. Directors lead the tour and guide families to enrollment; the Director of Enrollment makes sure more of the right families arrive, prepared and expected. Together, that drives enrollment growth across our existing schools.

At the start, the Director of Enrollment personally calls and texts every lead, talks with families daily, and represents Kindling at open houses and enrollment events. At the same time, they build the system behind that work: the process, playbooks, CRM discipline, and reporting that will support a larger enrollment team as we add schools. The role needs someone who is both hands-on and strategic, able to work a lead list in the morning and design how the function scales in the afternoon.

Key Responsibilities

First Touch and Family Experience

  • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective families across all current schools, responding to every inquiry by phone, email, and text with speed and care.
  • Build a real connection on the first call: learn about each family's child, schedule, priorities, and concerns, and capture it in a family profile the School Director can use.
  • Explain what makes Kindling and each school different, and match families to the right school, program, and start date.
  • Create a consistent first-touch experience across schools so every family feels known, however and wherever they reach us.

Tour Booking and Show Rate

  • Book tours directly into each school's calendar, then confirm, remind, and prepare families so they arrive informed and expected.
  • Use classroom availability, waitlist position, and start dates to give families a clear, honest reason to tour now.
  • Re-engage families who inquired but did not book, missed a tour, or went quiet, through a structured, recurring follow-up motion.
  • Offer a virtual tour or introductory call when a family cannot visit yet, with a defined path to an in-person tour.

Open Houses and Enrollment Events

  • Partner with School Directors to initiate and plan enrollment events at each school, such as open houses, fall festivals, and trunk-or-treats, focused on the classrooms and age bands that most need families.
  • Attend key events in person, meeting families face to face and building on the connection started by phone.
  • Capture every family met at an event in the CRM and follow up quickly to book a tour.
  • Represent Kindling at community events and local gatherings where prospective families are, in partnership with School Directors and marketing.

Partnership with School Directors

  • Hand off every booked tour with a complete family profile so the Director walks in knowing who the family is and what matters to them.
  • Align with each Director on tour availability, the event calendar, and the classrooms and age bands that most need families.
  • Share what families ask, value, and worry about in early conversations so Directors can tailor each tour.

Data, CRM, and Reporting

  • Own top-of-funnel data in Procare, our system of record: lead capture, response times, family profiles, stage definitions, and follow-up tasks, so every inquiry is accounted for.
  • Report weekly to the Head of Marketing & Admissions on inquiries, speed to first response, inquiry-to-tour rate, tour show rate, and completed tours by school, with a clear read on what is working and what to change.
  • Partner with marketing on lead quality and source performance, and feed family insight back into messaging and campaigns.

Building the Enrollment System

  • Design and document the enrollment process from inquiry to completed tour: call and text scripts, follow-up cadences, speed-to-lead standards, and handoff expectations with School Directors.
  • Turn what works into a repeatable playbook so each new school in Colorado and Utah starts on proven processes from its first inquiry.
  • Recommend the tools, structure, and staffing the function needs as we grow, including when and how to add enrollment team members.

How Success Is Measured

  • Primary: growth in completed tours, by school and system-wide.
  • Speed to first response on new inquiries
  • Inquiry-to-tour booking rate and tour show rate
  • Tour-to-enrollment rate, tracked with School Directors to confirm tours are well qualified
  • CRM data completeness and family profile quality at handoff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; business, communications, sales, marketing, or education preferred.
  • 7+ years in admissions, enrollment, or consultative sales, including experience personally converting inquiries into appointments or visits, not solely managing others who do.
  • Multi-site experience strongly preferred; early childhood, private or independent school, or another considered-purchase consumer category is a plus.
  • Demonstrated CRM fluency, with Procare experience strongly preferred (or a comparable childcare platform): able to configure it, report from it, and keep the data clean. Strong Excel skills.
  • Outstanding phone, written, and interpersonal skills, with the warmth an education decision requires and the persistence to follow through.
  • Hands-on and strategic: willing to do the work personally today while designing the process and team structure that will scale beyond them.
  • Highly organized self-starter who can manage high inquiry volume across many schools at once; open to feedback and comfortable with ambiguity in a growing organization.
  • Remote role based in Colorado, with regular travel to our schools and to key enrollment events.
  • Occasional evening and weekend availability for open houses and events, and willingness to travel to schools and community events.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary: $100,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on experience.
  • Commission: paid on new enrollments and tour completions
  • Benefits: We offer a competitive and benefits package designed to support the health, well-being, and financial security of our employees. Our benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings options.
