TAX MANAGER/PRINCIPAL/DIRECTOR

Steven Lissner & Company LLC, a dynamic and growing CPA firm located in Mountain Lakes, NJ, provides a comprehensive range of tax, accounting, audit, and advisory services to a diverse client base.

We are currently seeking qualified professionals at all levels within our tax department, including Director and Partner positions. Ideal candidates will be motivated, self-starters with at least five years of recent public accounting experience and the ability to lead tax and accounting engagements.

Responsibilities:

• Tax Services – Prepare & review corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
• Accounting Services – Lead engagements throughout all phases of accounting including tax research & planning and preparation of reports and financial statements.
• Resolve Tax Matters – Research and resolve federal and state tax issues.
• Client Services - Build trusted client relationships and work collaboratively with staff and clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting
• 5+ years of experience in accounting operations and principles
• Technical tax knowledge of tax controversy issues
• Detail-oriented with excellent organization, time-management, verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with CCH Axcess and QuickBooks software
• Trust, estate, and gift tax returns and planning experience is a plus
• Relevant tax preparation certification or licensing a plus (CPA license preferred)
