About the Role

Job Title: Intervention Specialist / Special Education Teacher Location: Chesterland, OH Setting: School Setting - K-2nd Pay Rate: $40-$50 / hour Schedule: Full-Time Contract Length: 2026–2027 School Year

Responsibilities

• Provide specially designed instruction and academic support to students with diverse learning needs in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and parents to adapt curricula, modify assignments, and accommodate student learning styles.
• Monitor student progress, collect data regularly, and participate in annual IEP meetings and multidisciplinary evaluations.
• Implement positive behavior support strategies and foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Maintain compliant and up-to-date special education documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Intervention Specialist license (or eligibility to obtain) required.

Required Skills

• Previous experience developing and implementing IEPs in a school setting preferred.

Pay range and compensation package

• Pay Rate: $40-$50 / hour
