Position Description: Duties: - Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
- Promotes and maintains positive and effective working relationships and promotes good public relationships as a representative of the Licking County Government.
- Greets and screens visitors entering the building; receives and screens incoming departmental phone calls (e.g., responds to routine inquiries, forwards calls to the appropriate party, takes messages, etc.); receives, screens, and forwards information submitted to the department to appropriate individuals.
- Performs administrative duties; produces a variety of memos, reports, and correspondence; sorts, screens, and prepares departmental mail; ensures department records are maintained within the Records Retention schedule.
- Orders and maintains inventory of office supplies and equipment; operates and assists in maintaining office equipment (copiers, fax machines, printers, calculators, etc.).
- Produce, maintain, verify, retrieve, and print various documents, records, and reports (e.g., correspondence, reports, forms, meeting minutes, etc.); prepare, distribute, and file correspondence, forms, and documents as requested. Audits reports for accuracy.
- Assist Transit personnel with projects and miscellaneous duties as necessary. May provide back-up to other positions in the Transit Office as necessary.
- Prepares, organizes, and maintains departmental contracts for processing; completes necessary forms and routes to appropriate parties for approval and distribution.
- Inventories equipment at Licking County Transit. Completes annual inventory reports.
- Assist in maintaining any social media pages approved by the Executive Director, Deputy Director and/or Marketing and Communications Specialist.
- Operates computer to produce a variety of material from rough draft, oral recording, and/or written or oral instruction; Maintain, verify, retrieve, and print various documents, records, and reports (e.g., correspondence, reports, forms, meeting minutes, contracts, etc.); prepares reports and records as requested; prepares, distributes, and files correspondence, forms, documents as requested.
- Remain informed of current developments and procedures pertinent to duties; may be required to attend regular staff meetings and seminars/training.
- ServesastheprimarypointofcontactinhandlingtheExecutiveDirector’scalendar,availability,and scheduling of meetings. Communicates and coordinates meetings with key internal and external contacts for the Executive Director. Supports Executive Director with email monitoring and flags pertinent messages to ensure timelyresponses are provided. Maintains along-termstrategic calendar of major upcoming events, travel, and forward-thinking priorities.
- Coordinatespublicappearancesandinternalevents(e.g.,Parades,JobFairs,Potlucks,Holiday Parties, etc.)
- Coordinatestravelarrangementsandtravelaccommodationsasneededforofficestaff.Preparesand submits travel authorizations and expense reports.
- Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable PERRP safety standards that pertain to the essential functions of the position and all agency safety procedures.
Brief Description: Provides customer service, administrative / clerical and fiscal support for the Licking County Transit Department.
Job Prerequisites: Minimum Qualifications:High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and one (1) to three (3) years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Qualifications:Must be proficient with typing memos, Word and Excel.
Compensation: Salary: $20.00 per hour
