    Content Creator/Editor

    LOCATION: Missouri Division of Tourism, Jefferson City, MO

    Department of Economic Development

    ANNUAL SALARY: $42,000.00 - $47,000.00 (based upon credentials)

    TRAVEL: Frequently up to 60%

    The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

    The Communications team supports the mission of the Missouri Division of Tourism (Visit Missouri) to showcase Missouri experiences through compelling storytelling to inspire travel, support healthy communities and strengthen our economy. This position supports a wide range of functions including photo/video production and editing, social media management, graphic design, copywriting, public relations, website content, event coordination, site visit coordination, and possible public speaking.

    Photo/Video Production

    • Capture photo and/or video assets

    • Produce high-quality brand-aligned videos

    • Edit new and existing footage to create promotional videos

    • Assist in maintenance of asset database

    • Assist in organization of content gathering shoots

    • Assist in asset request fulfilment from media

    Social Media Management:

    • Select images, write or edit copy that aligns with VisitMo brand

    • Proof and approve content

    Website Management:

    • Assist in the maintenance of VisitMo.com and Industry.VisitMo.com (which are on WordPress)

    • Assist in maintaining attraction listings and events on VisitMo.com

    Event/Project Coordination:

    • Represent Visit Missouri at industry events, festivals, conferences, and trade shows

    • Assist with preparation of pre- and on-site management of Missouri’s Governor’s Conference on Tourism

    • Assist in organization of an annual Content/PR Summit

    • Assist with production of Missouri Travel Guide

    • Associate’s degree or equivalent and 1-2 years of relevant experience in photo/video production/editing, communications, hospitality and/or tourism.

    Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

    Skills:

    • Strong experience in storytelling through photo/video production and editing

    • Strong knowledge of social media platforms

    • Teamwork and excellent interpersonal communication skills

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and other industry related software

    • Graphic design experience

    • Strong writing skills
