    DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Municipal Courts currently has an employment opportunity available for a Customer Service Representative III for individuals who are self-motivated, customer service-oriented, have attention to detail, and possess strong organizational skills. As an official of the Court, your responsibilities may include the following:
    • Function in a lead capacity or serve as a shift leader, supervising and training clerks in assigned areas.
    • High level of direct contact with the public, MCD and Legal Department staff, other COH staff, and/or law enforcement officers.
    • Provide professional level of customer service by utilizing efficient problem-solving techniques to address customer concerns and inquiries.
    • Accurate performance of data entry functions in entering citation information into the case management system (includes coding, records research, etc.)
    • Quality Control review of case data and scanned documents, taking appropriate action to make sure that case information is correct and complete, before generating, filing, and sending required documents.
    • Use effective problem-solving skills to identify and correct errors, also alerting appropriate parties and work to troubleshoot issues encountered.
    • Perform general clerical functions and using a variety of software applications to generate reports.
    • Prepare reports documenting productivity, as well as data integrity and system configuration issues.
    • Scanning of court documents into the Court’s case management system.
    • Utilize reports to perform quality assurance on case files and update records to reflect accurate data.
    • Provide assistance in various areas such as Affiants, Bond Administration, Quality Assurance, Warrants, Courtroom and Scanning.
    • Must be willing to submit to annual background checks.
    • Must be able to work assigned shift which may include weekends and holidays.
    • Other administrative and customer service-related responsibilities as assigned.
    • Must be willing to submit to annual backgrounds check.


    ***Please know that this position is designated as a Tier 1 employee and the selected candidate may have to work during inclement weather conditions***

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    General office setting. May require long periods of standing or sitting. Must be able to work any shift, weekends and/or holidays as needed. Must be able to travel to another court location on short notice.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    Requires a High School Diploma or GED

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    Three years of administrative customer service-related experience are required.

    MINIMUM LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

    PREFERENCES

    Preferences may be given to the candidates that are proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Environment (Word, Excel, Outlook); bilingual in Spanish and have
    • Clerk Certified by TMCEC / TCCA
    • Prior court, legal or paralegal experience as well as knowledge of court policies and procedures.
    • Strong working knowledge of CSMART and its functionalities
    • Customer service experience
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Two (2) years of lead clerk capacity experience
