We are recruiting to fill a Research Principal Management I position to perform advanced professional work involving research, analysis and reporting of statistical data and evaluation of various court projects, such as drug courts, family courts and juvenile courts.
- Position requires the use of general analytical skills and problem solving techniques
- Monitors specialized court programs that receive funding through state general revenue, federal funding and funding provided for specialized judicial matters to determine their level of effectiveness based upon research studies of relevant court programs, including drug courts, juvenile courts and family courts
- Develops reports using ReportNet from the Treatment Court Reporting System and Judicial Information System for specialized court performance measures
- Provides reports to relevant Judicial Committees and Commissions, as well as OSCA program staff, OSCA budget staff and the legislature, as requested, and on a regular basis
- Makes onsite court visits to provide technical assistance and assist with local evaluation projects
Minimum qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study or court management and 3 years of professional in a related field
Additional experience above the minimum stated may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.
Preferred qualifications - Knowledge of statistical methods, principles and formulas and their application to the analysis and evaluation of specialized court programs
- Knowledge of the use of graphic presentations
- Considerable knowledge of research methods and techniques, and of the sources and availability of information
- Knowledge of the use and capabilities of statistical software packages
- Knowledge of agency program operations so consultation can be provided to program manager on appropriate evaluation and research techniques
