Job Description:Purpose:Obtains payment for services by collecting fees for events and non-events.
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
- Collects payments by accepting cash, making change for cash customers.
- Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift.
- Provides information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Responsibilities - Supervisor and/or Leadership Exercised:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
- Ability to make change for cash accurately.
- Ability to handle a high-volume of customers.
- Skill in providing customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:- Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent.
Licenses and Certifications Required:Preferred Qualifications:- Experience providing friendly customer service, handling a high-volume of customers, and responding to customer questions and resolving issues with parking and ticketing affairs.
- Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced, and stressful environments with changing priorities.
- Experience in cash handling, working a cash register including credit card readers and end-of-shift paperwork.
- Experience working in a team dynamic that focuses on internal and external customer communication in a professional manner. As well as establishing and maintaining working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and other City personnel.
- Experience in handling confidential materials and documents.
- Ability to travel to more than one work location.

Notes to Candidate:Salary Range: $21.63Location: 5th Street Parking Garage & Palmer Event CenterDays and Hours: Days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts will vary based on the event schedule and business needs. There are no guaranteed shifts or hours. Employees will work as needed, based on when there is a business need. Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
