The City of Carson is seeking a highly motivated person to become the next Data & Digital Intelligence Officer (DDIO), which is a newly created position to lead the Data & Digital Intelligence Division. The DDIO works closely with the ITS Director and will be responsible for the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for the new Division.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the City’s IT & Cybersecurity Maturity Roadmap through increased focus on data governance, and innovative initiatives in data management, data security, and digital transformation. The ideal candidate is a listener who is aware of diverse academic and professional backgrounds, embraces their role as a compassionate change agent, and is a hands-on leader with experience in IT enterprise architecture, ERP systems, cloud management platforms, full stack ecosystem, APIs, Generative AI and/or Agentic AI pilots. Major investments are already underway, including a citywide Tyler Technologies ERP upgrade, cloud migrations, new document management system, and new city website in progress. The DDIO will have a high degree of integrity, judgment, and independence as well as the skills necessary to manage ITS assignments.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field; and at least 5 years of experience in the following:
