    Job Location: This position will be located at 920 Wildwood Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109.

    Why you’ll love this position:

    In this role you will be part of the senior leadership team of Missouri's Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), the Director of Division of Regulation and Licensure. You will have the opportunity to lead and motivate division teams and manage the successful operation of regulation and licensing functions within DHSS. This role reports directly to the Department Deputy Director and collaborates with the members of the Senior Staff.

    The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

    • Lead the Division in overall planning, development, and administration of Division programs and services;
    • Representing the Division at legislative hearings, events, meetings and other functions as needed;
    • Analyzing and interpreting state and federal laws, regulations, policies and procedures;

    • Direct preparation of the Division budget, program descriptions, new decision items, and other periodic and special budgetary, financial and related statistical reports;
    • Overseeing development/revision of Division policies and procedures.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Strong leadership, communication and teambuilding skills;
    • Management experience in regulatory environment, policy development and implementation;
    • Experience in the review, interpretation and application of state and federal laws
    • Bachelor's degree in public, business, or healthcare administration, or a closely related field is required. A master's degree is preferred.

    Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

    The State of Missouri offers an excellent benefits package that includes a defined pension plan, generous amounts of leave and holiday time, and eligibility for health insurance coverage.
