    Please note : The salary range listed in this job description is a base salary. Applicants eligible for years-of-service adjustments or shift differentials may exceed the salary range listed above.

    This position will be located at the Lewis and Clark State Office Building, 1101 Riverside Drive, Jefferson City MO.

    • Review and process the Public Drinking Water Branch - Monitoring Section documents and correspondence. This includes creating, editing, printing, tracking, distributing, scanning, filing, archiving, and mailing of letters and other internal documents for the Section.
    • Provide oversight to the other Monitoring Section Administrative Support Assistant to ensure correspondence and communication provided to the regulated community and others meets the department’s communication guidelines.
    • Coordinate and route phone calls from the regulated community and others to the appropriate 14 team members in the three Units of the Section as well as calls that may need to be routed to other Sections within the Branch or to Regional Offices.
    • Provide support for the Section including scheduling meetings and coordinate travel arrangements for Section team members- conference registrations, state car reservations, etc.
    • Enter data into the Safe Drinking Water Information System and use the Microsoft SharePoint App to track and review correspondence.
    • Provide support for Branch activities including uploading documents to the web and assistance with electronic filing through the Electronic Content Management system.
    • Provide mission support for the other Sections within the Branch.
    • Cover the Lewis and Clark State Office Building reception desk as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned


    To be successful in this position, a candidate will need the following skills:

    • Clerical : Knowledge of filing, typing, entering data, maintaining records, and using and completing forms.
    • Organizational Awareness : Knows the organization's mission and functions, and how its social, political, and technological systems work and operates effectively within them; this includes the programs, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations of the organization.
    • Self-Management : Sets well-defined and realistic personal goals; displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner; works with minimal supervision; is motivated to achieve; demonstrates responsible behavior.


    Equivalent to those typically gained by:

    • 1-3 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
