Lead Administrative Support Assistant (MCHR) Annual Salary Range: $40,000

What you will do: • Type, file, copy and scan documents.
• Respond to telephone calls from the public, determine if MCHR has jurisdiction, and then enter the information into our case tracking system, Filevine.
• Handle the MCHR Intake inbox, by determining if MCHR has jurisdiction, assigning inquiries, questionaries and signed charges out to human rights officers for intake processing.
• Must be able to read and interpret Chapter 213 on the Missouri Human Rights Act so that you can accurately close all digital case files for MCHR and dual-filed cases with the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission.
• Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Act as the Secretary to the Commission on Human Rights (MCHR) during quarterly commission meetings, which consist of setting up the meetings, taking minutes and putting together the quarterly commission packets.
• Plan and execute logistics for Commission meetings, board meetings, staff meetings, and trainings.
• Preparation and distribution of meeting materials, agendas, meeting minutes, and ensure action item follow-up.
• Secure meeting space and implement set-up, move tables and chairs, ensure virtual equipment and sound systems are in place and functional in a timely manner. Decorate meeting space appropriately and timely for agency events.
• Make travel arrangements for the Executive Director and MCHR staff.
• Manage confidential personnel and financial information with discretion.
• Answers questions and provides guidance to other administrative support staff.
• Work independently within the scope of assigned duties.
Perform other duties as assigned.
All you need for success: Minimum Qualifications - 3-5 years of relevant experience (Substitutions may be allowed.)
Preferred Qualifications - Comprehensive knowledge of grammar, composition, spelling, and math.
- Ability to develop and use coding and filing systems.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships and conduct duties with courtesy and respect.
- Ability to accept and implement feedback with a positive attitude and constructively support open communication, dedication, and compassion.
- Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance: Monday - Friday from 8am to 5pm.
