    Introduction

    Join our team as an Enterprise Telecommunications Specialist and take a leading role in building the physical network that keeps our city connected. From splicing high-capacity fiber optics to installing structured copper cabling in modern MDF and IDF environments, you'll work on mission-critical infrastructure that powers public safety, smart city tech, and enterprise applications. This is a hands-on position for someone who thrives in the field, understands BICSI standards, and takes pride in delivering clean, professional cabling work.     Anticipated starting salary may be up to mid-point depending on candidate’s experience and internal equity. The midpoint salary is $99,153.60 annually.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution in Computer Science or related field.
    • Five years' experience in systems analysis or design, testing and implementation of computer-based information systems and project management experience working on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously required.
    • An equivalent combination of education and job-related experience may substitute for the educational requirements on a year-for-year basis.
    Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements
    • Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver's license with no major citations within the past 39 months prior to the start date. The Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles requires that out-of-state driver's licenses must be surrendered within 10 days of relocating to the State of Arizona.
    • Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.
    Other pertinent licenses and/or certifications may be required of some positions depending on division/department/service assignment.
