Directs a variety of complex support service functions such as expenditure control; maintenance and upkeep of buildings and grounds; requisitioning/storage/issuance/local procurement of supplies and equipment/accounting/approval of requisitions for payment of operating expenses.
Gathers/compiles projected expenditure information and monitors expenditures; assists in preparing facility or agency budget; prepares/assists in the preparation of reports and development of contracts; monitors expenditures for compliance with fiscal requirements.
Approves service contract documents and statewide accounting system encumbrances; approves and ensures processing of procurement and service contract invoices
Directs/approves processing of orders/expense accounts/out-of-state travel/requests/invoices/receivers/payment vouchers/purchase requests; monitors for compliance with rules/procedures/regulations/fiscal requirements; assists in development of budget plan.
Acts as point of contact and liaison for OA Facilities Management regarding building leases, and janitorial services. Requiring travel for site visits.
Lead administrator for divisional fleet management. Point of contact and liaison with Department fleet management.
Selects, trains, and supervises staff; responds to inquiries from state officials/customers/vendors/general public
Exercises independent judgement and initiative; work is reviewed for conformance to established policies and procedures; preforms other related work as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: Two or more years of experience as an Executive II, or Accounting Specialist I-II, with a minimum of two years supervising other paid employees with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System, and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency
ORSix or more years of professional or technical (non-clerical) experience in the administration of fiscal or budgetary controls, procurement, accounting or bookkeeping, or closely related areas Includinga minimum oftwo years of supervisory experience.
(Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university, including earned hours in accounting, public or business administration, or related area may be substituted for up to four years of the required general experience, at a rate of 30 credit hours for one year - a minimum of two years of supervisory experience is required)
All requested documents MUST be received by the closing date listed. Contingent upon your position, you may also be eligible to receive:
- A $2.00 per hour shift differential if you are assigned to a shift that begins on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am and are employed at a 24/7 congregate care facility (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center).
- A $0.75 per hour maximum security stipend if you work full-time at a qualifying facility.
- A $1.00 per hour restrictive housing stipend if you are assigned a regular post within a restrict housing/segregation unit at any facility.
The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years!
