The Human Resource Center has an opening for a Human Resources Generalist located in
Jefferson City. The primary function of this position is to conduct Civil Rights training and complete civil rights investigations. Annual Salary: $56,764.56 Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).

What you’ll do: - Design and deliver virtual and in-person classroom Civil Rights training classes
- Manage a virtual and in-person classroom in a professional manner
- Investigate allegations of discrimination
- Conduct investigative interviews and write investigative reports
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate witness statements and review documents to identify potential risk of civil rights violation
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.) Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis for denying consideration to any applicant.
Preferred Qualifications: - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel, Canva, Kahoot!, Poll Everywhere, Webex and Teams.
- Training and investigative experience is preferred.
- Comfortable speaking publicly for in-person and virtual presentations.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience and knowledge of training methods and techniques.
- A passion for continuous learning.
- Experience with formal training and/or educating adult learners.
Special Requirements: - Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to drive and travel throughout the state of Missouri including when occasional overnight stays to conduct training and attend meetings.
- Ability to conduct training sessions that last up to 6 hours.
- Ability to carry up to 40 pounds of training equipment/materials.
