Position DescriptionJoin our Transmission & Distribution Construction & Maintenance (C&M) team and play a pivotal role in optimizing our field operations through technology and process improvement. This critical position facilitates and coordinates C&M technology projects, serving as the primary bridge between C&M operational needs and the City's enterprise IT functions. You’ll be instrumental in leveraging technology to enhance efficiency, measure work execution, and ensure the responsible use of our $63M biennial O&M budget and support for our $83M capital program. Primary Responsibilities:
Technology Strategy & Coordination:- Facilitate and coordinate C&M technology projects, from inception through deployment.
- Serve as the key liaison to the City's enterprise IT functions, translating business needs into technical requirements.
- Plan and coordinate testing processes and user resources to ensure successful technology implementation.
- Participate on city-wide or cross-departmental technology committees to advocate for C&M needs.
- Lead the effort for Line, Wire, and HFC technology process integration improvements.
Operational Application Expertise & Support- Provide technical expertise and consulting to C&M users and management on operational technology application usage and continuous improvement.
- Act as the first line of application support for C&M field users.
- Maintain and provide expert support for key applications, including:
- Accela
- Mobile Work Force Management (MWFM) for crews and dispatchers
- Nintex forms for Outage Coordination (Scheduled Commercial, Residential, and Cross-Functional)
- C&M key issuing board
- Locate data pipeline to 811
Business Analysis & Continuous Improvement- Collaborate with managerial C&M staff to create essential work products, policies, procedures, plans, and/or programs.
- Ensure business processes align with application capabilities, recommending process changes or application adjustments as needed.
- Identify business issues in collaboration with C&M leadership and users, and recommend appropriate technology solutions.
- Serve as the C&M Continuous Improvement champion and facilitator.
Management Reporting & Metrics- Provide technical expertise and consulting to C&M management on report development.
- Create, maintain, and provide regular reports to C&M leadership to help measure and improve execution, including:
- Labor hours and labor type reports
- Work Orders queued, in process, and completed
Qualifications Minimum Education* Bachelor's degree public or business administration, information technology or directly related field
Minimum Experience* 2 years of analytical and/or functional analyst, user support or database maintenance work in area related to assignment
*Equivalency: 1 year of experience = 1 year of education

Direct Deposit: Employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule by direct deposit.
Salary Increases: Based on satisfactory job performance, the City provides for a regular progression of salary increases for most classifications according to the salary schedule.
Union Affiliation: Many job classifications are covered by union security provisions which require union membership, dues, or payment of equivalent service fees.
