    Why you’ll love this position:

Are you interested in ending the HIV epidemic in Missouri? The Bureau of HIV, STI and Hepatitis (BHSH) provides HIV, sexually transmitted infection (STI), and Viral Hepatitis education targeted to the general public, those at risk for infection, and clinical providers; access to HIV, STI, and Viral Hepatitis prevention and testing services; increased access to HIV, STI, and Viral Hepatitis care, and treatment. It's an exciting time to join our team! You will be part of a passionate team working together to implement a variety of statewide initiatives geared towards improving health outcomes for Missourians.

The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

    • Manage the Ending the HIV Epidemic program, grants, and work plans funded through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
    • Coordinate with internal and external partners from across the state to identify the best outreach and treatment programs for people at risk or currently living with HIV that are not in care.
    • Monitor program performance measures and outcomes.
    • Collaborate with the Office of Epidemiology to gather and analyze data related to ending the HIV epidemic.
    • Assist in developing and implementing social and digital media campaigns related to Ending the HIV Epidemic and coordinate the development of the statewide HIV Care and Prevention Integrated Plan.
    • Develop, implement and evaluation programs to help people with HIV attain optimal health and viral suppression.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree and two or more years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed).
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and show initiative within a team environment

Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

The State of Missouri offers an excellent benefits package that includes a defined pension plan, generous amounts of leave and holiday time, and eligibility for health insurance coverage.
