Key Responsibilities - Policy & Program Development: Create, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures.
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate workplace conditions, identify hazards, and develop strategies to control and mitigate them.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant industry, state, and federal regulations, including TJC and CMS guidelines.
- Audits & Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs and records of safety-related activities, inspections, incidents, and training.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and coordinate emergency response plans, including training staff and facilitating drills.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports to management on safety performance, incidents, and areas for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse management, HR, and other teams to prioritize safety objectives and implement safety best practices.
Key Skills and Qualifications - Knowledge of Regulations: Deep understanding of TJC, CMS and other relevant safety and environmental laws.
- Risk Management: Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and implement effective control measures.
- Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills for training, reporting, and collaborating with staff.
- Leadership: Ability to lead safety initiatives, influence behavior, and motivate employees to prioritize safety.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to investigate incidents and develop practical safety solutions.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with Tableau creator platform.
All you need for success: A Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following: Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Pharmacology, Nursing, Education, Business, Public or Health Care Administration, or a closely related field; and, four or more years of professional experience in health care safety, data analytics, regulatory compliance, supervisory/team leader, project management, or clinical experience.
