    JOB SUMMARY
    The Program Data Coordinator is responsible for performing numerous and varied tasks that support the operational and administrative activities and services associated with Distribution and Collection. Programs include quality assurance of products/materials used, state mandated evaluations of the system and ensuring data integrity of the computerized maintenance data management system.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Provides, coordinates and reports data associated with the operational and administrative support of Distribution and Collection personnel.
    • Promotes timely processing of inquiries and resolution of internal/external issues.
    • Reads, reviews and interprets utility related documents (e.g. material contracts, block maps, products and services standards, material specifications, as-built drawings, etc.); makes recommendations to management.
    • Provides program support by ordering material and equipment, scheduling deliveries/services, making appointments and conducting research for field staff.
    • Forecasts, allocates and monitors the human, physical and financial resources for the assigned area.
    • Validates and ensures data integrity of computerized maintenance system.
    • Coordinates the surveying of water distribution systems to locate visible and non-visible water leaks; organizes, schedules and documents leak detection surveys and televising activities over the Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone.
    • Develops, recommends and implements division/program policies and procedures.
    • Initiates, organizes and maintains a variety of files and records for information related to the assigned program.
    • Develops, trains and mentors other employees including supporting field laptop users.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    DECISION MAKING
    • The Program Data Coordinator works under limited supervision.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Five years' experience in the operational and/or administrative support of water distribution and wastewater collection systems (e.g. field operations, pipeline televising/leak detection, quality assurance of products and services, public procurement and budget process and computerized maintenance management systems).
    • Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, and computerized maintenance management system software.
    • Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.
    • Ability to report to work on time, maintain a good attendance record, and work all designated work schedules.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Programming, Purchasing, Marketing or related field from an institution accredited by a recognized accrediting agency.
    • Class "B" Distribution Texas Water Operator License and Class "B" Texas Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator License or Class 'II" Texas Wastewater Collection System Operator License depending on area of assignment.
    • Ability to use two way radio and communication equipment.

    JOB DIMENSIONS
    • Contact with internal and external customers, contractors, vendors, local governmental agencies and the general public.
    • Communicates effectively, verbally and in writing.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
    Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds. Working conditions are primarily in an office environment with possible field visits to project sites, vendor meetings and/or other Service Centers. May operate a company vehicle.

    May be required to work hours other than the regular schedule such as nights and weekends.
