Job Location: This position will be located at the Southeast region of the state. This is a position with remote work privileges so the domicile will be the location (within the Southeast region of the state) of the selected applicant.

The Special Health Care Needs (SHCN) Family Partnership strives to enhance the lives of individuals and families impacted by special health care needs. We do this by providing resources and information to empower families to live their best lives. Family Partnership is for families by families. The Family Partnership hosts regional and statewide events to benefit families through shared experience and peer to peer outreach.
- Develop informational materials focusing on issues relevant to families of children and youth with special health care needs.
- Develop a parent/family network comprised of families who have children and youth with special health care needs to provide a statewide system of support and engagement to those families.
- Offer family perspective at committees/workgroups involving special health care needs related issues, as requested.
- Serve as the southeast regional contact person for families of children and youth with special health care needs by providing peer support and resource information.
- Host regional and statewide events to benefit families.
Minimum Qualifications: - The applicant must be a parent or family member of a child or youth with special health care needs.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 80 hours per month.
- Must have home internet access.
- This position requires minimal statewide travel and could include some overnights. Out-of- state may be required at least once per year.
- Must have a positive attitude, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work well with others.
- Must possess the ability to respect, understand, communicate with, and effectively interact with diverse populations.
