You will also be working with cross-departmental teams on a variety of fiscal priorities, financial policy development, and grant/fiscal monitoring and tracking.
The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
- This position will supervise the Program Liaisons in the Division of Administration's, Division Liaison Services unit supporting the Division of Community and Public Health’s (DCPH) services.
- Oversee the fiscal components of state and federal grants, including documentation, and reconciliation of expenditures.
- Exercises considerable independence, initiative, and judgment in coordinating and developing fiscal processes with the staff and the DCPH’s programs.
- Oversee the preparation of the DCPH’s budget, program descriptions, new decision items, and coordinate fiscal notes responses.
- Develop and monitor comprehensive budget and grant spend plans to guide fiscal and administrative activities supporting operations
- Oversee and support the fiscal team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.
- Work on assigned tasks related to the new State of Missouri Accounting system (MOVERS)
- Coordinate special projects and tasks, as needed
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following: Accounting, Public or Business Administration, or a closely related field is required, and 5-7 years of relevant experience (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- Previous experience with Federal Grants and Fiscal Notes is preferred.
- Previous experience with SAM II financial and Mo Buys is preferred
- Previous experience with Excel, Word, Access, and Adobe is required
