    Please note : The salary range listed in this job description is a base salary. Applicants eligible for years-of-service adjustments or shift differentials may exceed salary range listed above.

    This position will be located at the Lewis and Clark State Office building, 1101 Riverside Drive, Jefferson City, Monday through Friday; 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

    This administrative support position is a vital part of teams that establish and implements Missouri’s water quality standards, monitors streams and lakes, develops watershed planning tools, and incentivizes pollution reduction efforts.     • Provide administrative assistance to two sections within the Water Protection Program’s Water Pollution Control Branch (Watershed Protection Section and Wastewater Engineering Section).
    • Recognize priorities for scheduling and coordinating logistical arrangements to aid in the completion of these sections’ work (e.g., meetings, travel, purchases, training registrations, etc.).
    • Proofreading, formatting, and processing documents prepared by section team members and ensuring appropriate department publication and communication style guidelines are followed.
    • Complete electronic routing of time sensitive documents for management approval or signature.
    • Assist with preparation, electronic routing, or handling of confidential personnel documents.
    • Assist with preparation and facilitation of public meetings, updating relevant websites and electronic calendars, routing GovDelivery electronic announcements, and mailings as necessary.
    • Assist with phone calls, front desk coverage, and other duties as necessary.

    • Teamwork: Encourages and facilitates cooperation, pride, trust, and group identity; fosters commitment and team spirit; works with others to achieve goals.


    Equivalent to those typically gained by:

    • 3-5 years of relevant experience. Examples of relevant experience include skills and tasks associated with administrative assistance, including, but not limited to clerical, printing, and mail related tasks, or grant, budget, or billing experience, web-based management, use of SharePoint, and travel planning experience
