Why you’ll love this position:This position will provide regional management and oversight for the behavior support services provided by Southeast Missouri Residential Services (SEMORS) 112 Plaza Drive Sikeston, MO and 2351 Kanell Blvd. Poplar Bluff, MO locations.
- Development and implementation of positive behavior practices.
- Oversight of all functions of the behavior department including the development of functional behavior assessments and behavior support plans, management of data collection, training on behavioral support plans, and monitoring of procedural fidelity.
- Consultation with facility staff, including members of the inter-disciplinary teams, participation in person-centered plan and/or treatment team meetings as needed.
- Development of training programs for professional and direct care staff, other care providers, and family members in the implementation of behavior support plans and intervention tactics and techniques.
- Serving on behavior support, leadership, and other facility committees.
- Supervision of all staff associated with behavioral services at the facilities, including licensed behavior analysts.
- Collaboration with the Coordinator of Crisis Services and Behavioral Programs for State Operated DD Programs for the Division of developmental Disabilities to develop system oversight and policies.
- Assisting in the development of specialized behavioral respite service programs at each facility to provide short-term services to individuals with high behavioral support needs.
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements, department and facility policies and procedures as they relate to the delivery of behavior support services.

- Establishing priorities and goals which will have a long-term impact over the next several years on the behavior supports of individuals served by SEMORS.
- Travel is required between both locations.
Knowledge and skills necessary for this position include: - Comprehensive knowledge of applied behavior analysis and principles; theories; and techniques.
- Comprehensive knowledge of professional and ethical guidelines, federal and state laws and regulations; and departmental rules governing the practice of behavior analysis and modification, including those outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Comprehensive knowledge of developmental disabilities and their effect on individual cognitive and behavioral functioning.
- Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, staff, consumers, their families and the general public.
- Ability to provide proactive and positive leadership to all staff; develop and maintain good management techniques, provide constructive guidance and maximize staff participation.
Minimum Qualifications: - A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following: Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Pharmacology, Nursing, Education, Business, Public or Health Care Administration, or a closely related field.
- Four or more years of professional experience in mental health, education, social services, public administration, or a closely related area.
Special Requirement: - This position requires possession of current certification as a Board-Certified behavior Analyst (BABA) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc. (BACB) and a current Missouri license as a Behavior Analyst.
