Job Summary: Supports Golf Professional staff in all aspects of daily golf operations. Provides excellent customer service, promotes golf for all Loveland courses and programs, and assists with player development and golf instruction. This position works a varied and flexible schedule that includes weekend, morning, evening and holiday hours.
The salary range for this position is
$20.70- $27.95 per hour with a hiring range of
$20.70 - $24.32, depending on qualifications and experience.

Essential Functions: - Assists in the opening and closing of the facility.
- Works with point of sale, tee time reservation system, answers phone and greets guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assists with control and management of play.
- Assists with tournaments, outings, and leagues.
- Assists with merchandising and inventory management.
- Maintains rental and SNAG equipment.
- Provides golf club re-gripping services.
- Assists with Pro Shop duties.
- Assists with administrative duties.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of facilities.
- Maintains club rental inventory.
- Assists with cart and range operations including washing and staging carts and picking and cleaning range balls.
Other Job Functions: - May provide direction to part-year staff.
- Assists with junior programs and golf clinics.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Education: - High School graduate or GED required.
Experience: - 2 years Golf course experience required.
- Experience working with Junior Golfers preferred.
- Some experience teaching golf preferred.
Certifications: - Prefer Class A membership in PGA or LPGA or registration in PGA’s PGM program or LPGA’s Apprentice Program.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license if driving a city vehicle.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Knowledge of principles and procedures of golf shop operations.
- Knowledge of standard computer operations and related software applications with word processing, spreadsheets, and golf-related programs.
- Adhere to all City policies and regulations.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and citizens; handle sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy; communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Organize golf leagues and tournaments.
- Strong interpersonal and merchandising skills.
- Sound teaching techniques for the game of golf.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions: - Frequent l ight to moderate physical effort that includes frequent standing or walking or maintaining arms and hands in the same position for repetitive tasks. Frequently works with light objects and light hand tools.
- Frequent e xposure to heat and noise along with working outside in the elements.
- Occasional e xposure to hazards that are predictable or well protected against.
