Under the direction of the Codes and Standards Administrator I, the incumbent serves as a program and policy specialist for the Manufactured Housing and Factory-Built Housing (MH/FBH) Programs. The incumbent provides analysis, program oversight, and policy development; evaluates third-party and manufacturer compliance with applicable statutes and regulations; and supports program managers with research, planning, and legislative/regulatory initiatives.
The position(s) require(s) a valid California Driver’s License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application. Ensure you provide your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions. Under California Government Code Section 14200, this position is eligible for hybrid teleworking and may be eligible for full-time remote work in some circumstances and/or time-periods, at the sole discretion of the Department. Telework-eligible applicants must reside in California. Headquarter location will be designated based on the selected candidate's primary residence location. This is subject to change if HCD's criteria are met.
Note: Effective July 1, 2025, a 3% salary reduction is in place under the Personal Leave Program (PLP), with 5 hours of Personal Leave Credit earned monthly in exchange.
