The Division of Behavioral Health is seeking an Intermediate Accountant for Central Office domiciled in Jefferson City, Missouri. This position reports to the DBH Director of Budget.
The base salary offered for this position is up to $67,308.00 annually, commensurate with education and experience. If the selected candidate is eligible for a pay differential, such as retention pay, the total salary may exceed what is listed in this posting.
- Coordinate and respond to all fiscal notes for the division in MO Legislative Information System (MOLIS).
- Review and approve all expenses and equipment (EE) requests.
- Track and analyze EE utilization and assist with projections.
- Review and approve all MOVERS payments.
- Review and approve Substance Awareness Traffic Offender Program (SATOP) letters for late payments. Also provider oversight to ensure all SATOP fees are collected.
- Assist with updating budget forms.
- Update budget tracking documents, as needed per budget cycle.
- Assist with research needed to answer budget questions.
- Assist with facility reporting.
- Work with the Director of Facility Financial Operations to track and analyze facility spend.
- Assist with managing appropriation spend for facilities.
- Coordinate and track processing of training invoices.
- Work with division policy staff on necessary trainings.
- Work with council staff on getting trainings added based on division’s needs.
- Experience using a Microsoft Windows operating system.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to analyze financials and alert management of outliers.
- A bachelor's degree in finance, or 3-5 years of government financial experience.
- Experience with the State fiscal note process is preferred.
