- Design, build, and maintain Tableau dashboards and visualizations that clearly communicate key performance indicators and trends.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and program teams to understand reporting needs, define metrics, and ensure data accuracy and relevance.
- Stay current on Tableau security practices, software updates, and new features to enhance data visualization and reporting capabilities.
- Conduct data validation for accuracy and completeness; review data for consistency and prepares summary information.
- Develop comprehensive reports that include quantitative and qualitative analyses of program performance, providing management with actionable insights for improvement and strategic planning.
- Work collaboratively with Fiscal, Case QA, regional managers, and VR training staff on data use, interpretation, and reporting.
- Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports, including summary tables, graphs, charts, and explanatory text, presented in a clear and accessible format.
- Participate as a member of the program evaluation team, assisting with processes to prioritize and assess programs for evaluation.
- Travel as required for the position, which may include occasional overnight travel.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience and Training - Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, or closely related field.
- Minimum two years of experience using Tableau for data visualization, reporting, or business intelligence.
- Experience working with large datasets and producing analytical reports that support strategic or operational decision-making preferred.
(Other qualifications and experience may be accepted in lieu of the above, which in the opinion of the Assistant Commissioner of OALRS meet the requirements of the position.)
Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong proficiency in Tableau for building, maintaining, and optimizing interactive dashboards and data visualizations.
- Solid understanding of data analysis and reporting methods, including data cleaning, validation, and trend identification.
- Working knowledge of statistical and mathematical techniques used in data interpretation and performance measurement.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights through visuals, summaries, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with data management tools and platforms, such as Excel, SQL, or other business intelligence/analytics tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments to identify data needs and deliver meaningful results.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
