These positions will be with the Division of State Parks and will be focused on our over-night activities, including camping and lodging.

    Please note : The salary range listed in this job description is a base salary. Applicants eligible for years-of-service adjustments or shift differentials may exceed salary range listed above.

    This position will be located at 1659 E. Elm, Jefferson City, MO 65101. Some travel, including overnight is required. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

    • Provide technical and procedural assistance to staff at over 93 state parks and historic sites.
    • Visit parks and sites to provide onsite training as well as perform site visits to ensure policies and procedures are being followed.
    • Assist in the development of business rules, policies, procedures, and revenue operations throughout the state parks/sites system.
    • Assist in developing, reviewing, and maintaining individual parks specific data. Continually update our internal databases and ensure that all information is accurate in all locations, including the reservation system, printed and online materials, and the Missouri State Park website. Identify and resolve any inaccurate or conflicting data.
    • Consult with reservation system contractor on resolution of system issues and implementation and testing of system updates.
    • Research and generate a market analysis on pricing and recommend adjustments.
    • Verify and approve SAMII Documents and reservation system reports, including resolution of any issues noted.


    To be successful in this position, a candidate will need the following skills:

    • Analysis and Assessment : Uses information technology in accessing, collecting, analyzing, maintaining, and disseminating data and information.
    • Flexibility : Is open to change and new information; adapts behavior or work methods in response to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles; effectively deals with ambiguity.
    • Knowledge Management : Knowledge of the value of collected information and the methods of sharing that information throughout an organization.


    Equivalent to those typically gained by:

    • Bachelor’s degree in one or a combination of the following: Business or public administration, finance, management, accounting, parks and recreation or a closely related field; and 1-3 years of experience planning and overseeing operational changes, providing technical assistance, and/or developing and analyzing policies and procedures. Additional education and experience may substitute for required education and experience to the minimum qualifications.
