Why you’ll love this position: This position serves as the Administrator for the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, within the Division of Regulation and Licensure, a component of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services in Jefferson City, Missouri. Responsibilities include oversight of the Bureau's regulatory duties related to EMS agency licensure throughout the state as well as EMS personnel licensure. The position also provides guidance to the EMS industry and stakeholders in all aspects of their regulatory responsibilities.
The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
- Coordinate and Oversee the licensure of all EMS agencies and personnel within the state;
- Collaborate with Both Internal and External Stakeholders;
- Perform Non-Adversarial Enforcement of Regulations;
- Lead a team of EMS Inspectors and Investigators in the completion of their required work;
- Maintain and share knowledge of Missouri EMS statutes/regulations related to EMS and NREMT with stakeholders and the public.
- Demonstrate professional written and verbal communication skills;
- Current Missouri Paramedic license, AEMT license or EMT license;
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a healthcare related field;
- Preferred candidates will have Five (5) years of experience working in the EMS field;
- Effective leadership that promotes customer service;
- Demonstrate and utilize critical thinking skills;
- Knowledge of computer and virtual conferencing platforms.
